Application of DHT801 in Large Hydraulic Pile-drive Hammer

Hydraulic hammers are mainly used for pile-driving machinery. Its application scope includes construction of pile foundations such as offshore oil platforms, bridges, buildings and docks. With the continuous advancement of modern science and technology, piling machinery has also evolved from the most primitive drop hammers to steam hammers and diesel hammers, and eventually developed to hydraulic pile hammers, which are now widely used. The Rexroth A11VLO is a variable displacement pump commonly used on hydraulic hammers. We should be familiar with the parameter settings of the A11VLO pump. Below we use the DHT801 to measure the flow and pressure of the Rexroth A11VLO190LRDU2 pump on-line and the pile hammer system as an example to describe in detail the constant power and pressure cutoff parameter setting method and the DHT801 usage method.

DHT801 Digital Hydraulic Tester

DHT801 digital hydraulic tester can accurately measure pressure, flow, temperature. The tester is used to easily check the performance of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and hydrostatic transmissions.

Prepare the following test tools before testing: one DHM801 tester and two high-pressure hoses (one connected to a pump or fuel tank, one connected to the tester, depending on the site conditions), and then follow the following steps to open the test:

1) Connect the DHT801 tester in series with the system according to Figure 2;
2) Open the tester, set the parameters of the tester, and load the loading pressure of the valve to the minimum;
3) Start the car, open the test, according to different conditions of the pile hammer to run separately;
4) From the test panel, read the pressure, flow and temperature values, and record;

2, cut off the pressure valve settings

1) Connect the DHT801 tester to the system in accordance with Figure 3;
2) Open the tester, set the parameters of the tester, and load the loading pressure of the valve to the minimum;
3) Start the car and slowly rotate the tester loading valve until the gauge pressure on the dial is 25-30 bar higher than the cutoff pressure to be set;
4) Adjust the pressure shut-off valve screw counterclockwise (clockwise pressure increase, counterclockwise pressure decrease) to the tester pressure reading is the required value (usually 25-30bar lower than the relief valve pressure);
5) Set the tightening torque of the pressure shut-off valve screw to 7-11 Nm, and then lock the lock nut of the regulator screw.


3, power valve settings

1) Connect the DHT801 tester to the system in accordance with Figure 3;
2) Open the tester, set the parameters of the tester, load the loading pressure of the valve to the minimum, and then screw the constant power valve adjustment screw to the bottom;
3) Calculate the pressure at the maximum power required under the set power;
4) Start the car, slowly increase the tester loading pressure until it reaches the pressure we need to set;
5) Then, slowly loosen the adjusting screw of the power valve until the pressure on the pressure gauge on the dial is reduced, stop releasing the adjusting screw;
6) Set the tightening torque of the valve screw to 7-11Nm, then lock the lock nut of the regulator screw.


Step by step according to the above steps, you can easily complete the Rexroth A11VLO190LRDU2 pump parameter settings and pile hammer system flow and pressure measurements. From the above operations, it can be seen that the DHT801 tester is not only simple to operate but also has accurate measurement and high precision. Therefore, the DHT801 tester is a necessary tool for hydraulic engineers.
